Health & Medical Disclaimer
Please read this important health advisory before using RecalFit
If during any workout or exercise session you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, severe dizziness, or unusual pain, STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY and call emergency medical services (such as 911 in the US or 112 in Europe) right away.
1. Not Medical Advice
RecalFit and its AI coach "Cal" provide personalized fitness workouts, progressive overload tracking, and daily macronutrient estimates.
RecalFit is not a doctor, medical practice, or physical therapist. Nothing inside the app or website should be considered medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or clinical healthcare advice.
2. Check With Your Doctor First
Before starting any new exercise routine or adjusting your calorie intake, you should consult with a physician. This is especially important if you have:
- A history of heart conditions, high blood pressure, or chest pain.
- Joint injuries, chronic lower back issues, or past surgeries.
- Diabetes or metabolic health conditions.
- Are pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription medications.
3. Exercise Substitutions
RecalFit provides joint-friendly exercise substitutions (such as neutral-grip dumbbell presses instead of flat barbell bench) when you report discomfort.
These suggestions are meant to provide lower-stress alternatives, but they do not replace physical therapy or medical rehabilitation. If an exercise causes sharp or persistent pain, stop performing it immediately.
4. Safe Calorie Guidelines
To protect your health and energy, RecalFit enforces safe minimum limits:
- Daily calories are never set below 1,500 kcal for men and 1,200 kcal for women.
- Weight loss pacing is capped at safe weekly rates to preserve lean muscle and support hormone balance.
- Dietary fat targets are maintained at healthy baseline levels.
5. Personal Responsibility
Weightlifting and physical fitness carry natural risks of strain or injury. By using RecalFit, you acknowledge that you are exercising at your own pace and responsibility.
